We say THANK YOU!

Thank you for this wonderful first season at the new PRT!

THANKS: You helped us repaint the walls last year … ... toasted damper bread on the campfire ... ... thought about the end of the patriarchy ... ... resurveying Alleestraße ... ... carried Karim's suitcase ... ... celebrating the elegance of drag ... … the times have shifted … ... happiness mixed ... ... gossiped with art ... ... argues about love ... ... rediscovered American football ... ... and you made us believe in miracles!

Before the summer holidays comes the summer festival: we are celebrating our first season at the prt with you, looking forward to everything that is to come and inviting you to celebrate with us! Featuring the ALLEESTRASSE ensemble, the Bochum Citizens' Stage and many artists and above all: LIKE Live Karaoke.
Sing along with a real band!

Pop Resonance Dance

Why didn't I stay at home on the sofa?

Protest Rave Trans

Why do some people talk and others remain silent? Why am I sitting in the performance next to strangers and don't know who they are?

Power Respect Tolerance

Why is everyone on stage speaking German, but in the city I hear many languages? Who decides what gets performed? Which stories are told, and which are not?

Radical dream test

Will we succeed in creating entrances that are accessible in every respect; that encourage rather than intimidate; that connect rather than separate?

Purpose Re-Purpose Turn

When the world is changing rapidly, how is theatre changing? Who is changing theatre? And will it change us, the theatre?

Resist Together Politics

Who uses the space and who needs it? What do people need and what is missing in the city?

Party Rausch Toll

And what does the theatre need?

present, peace, comfort

Theatre needs people coming together. Not spectators, but participants. The PRT needs friends, critics, active observers, sceptics and lovers.

Sequinned Ferris wheel trapezoid

Theatre needs many forms, speaks many languages, has many faces, is always in motion, on the stages, on the street. Theatre, that is new circus, dance, literature, music, performance and much more. We move between all formats and forms with great joy.

Pott Riemke Tippelsberg

Theatre is a playing space for many perspectives, stories, biographies and languages – as diverse and vibrant as Bochum. A space for artists and collectives, too and especially, but not only from Bochum.

Panic Resignation Grief

What can theatre do that Netflix cannot?

Paradise Rainbow Squid

We can do everything that Netflix can't!

Rise and fall of the swimming pool

notsopretty going for a swim: Between swimming pools, sunbathing lawns and open-air swimming pool chips, an open-air audio walk about summer, longing and social inequality is created. The pool becomes the stage for a conflict: luxury meets scarcity, seclusion meets community, abundance meets drying up.

Super Sunny Summer Shindig!
