Pay what you want: You decide for yourself how much you can or want to pay – there are various price tiers for this. You don't have to show any proof if you pay a small amount. And no matter how much you have paid for your ticket, you are free to choose your own seat. We want to make it possible for everyone to visit the theatre. At the same time, we depend on ticket revenue and would be delighted if you can and would like to support us with an amount of €20.

Some events in the PRT are free. Even so, you sometimes need to register in advance. You can do this by email to: info@prinzregenttheater.de. Whether you need to register is stated on the event website.

You can also buy tickets at the box office – if there are still seats available. The box office opens one hour before each event. You can pay in cash or by debit card.

How to get to the PRT:

• Bus 353 to the Knappenstr./Zeche stop
• Bicycle stands are available for parking your bicycle.
• Parking is available.
• In the foyer, you can sign up for the carpool matching and look for or offer lifts.

Bus 353: The PRT is at the Knappenstr./Zeche bus stop. You can take the 353 bus there – towards Blankensteiner Straße. Among other places, you can also catch the bus at Bochum central station. The stop is behind the station, at Buddenbergplatz. From there, the bus takes about 14 minutes to the Knappenstr./Zeche stop. From this stop it is about another 3 minutes to the entrance of the PRT. To get there, you follow the signs to the rear of the building complex.

Bus route 353 from the Knappenstr./Zeche stop only runs into the city every half hour at weekends – and no longer after 23:55 on Saturdays. That is why we are offering a board in the foyer for „lift-sharing matching“. There you can note down whether you are looking for a spare seat in a car or can offer one.

We want as many people as possible to be able to attend our performances. That is why we pay attention to accessibility. However: not everything is perfect. Here you will find an overview.

For wheelchair users:

The route from the bus stop into the theatre and onto the stage is step-free. There are also parking spaces, although no explicitly designated disabled parking bays. Although there is gravel in front of the theatre entrance, our front-of-house staff are happy to help you across the gravel section. The PRT has an accessible toilet. There are spaces for wheelchairs in the auditorium. There are portable ramp rails that can be set up in other areas of the theatre if required. Please contact us before your visit so that we can plan accordingly.

For blind and partially sighted people:

There is no tactile paving system from the „Knappenstr./Zeche“ bus stop to the entrance of the PRT. Please feel free to get in touch with us in advance so we can arrange a pick-up from the bus stop. We currently feature audio-based formats such as concerts and readings in our programme. Whenever we are able to offer events with audio description (descriptions via headphones), we will advertise and clearly indicate this on our website. Guide dogs are welcome.

For deaf, hard of hearing and deafened people:

If we can make events possible with sign language translation or captions, we will advertise and indicate it on this website.

Diversity is part of it:

It is important to us that everyone feels welcome, safe and respected – regardless of their gender, identity or who they love. We want to create an inclusive space with minimal discrimination. Therefore, sexism, queerphobia, racism and every form of exclusion have no place here.

We have gender-neutral toilets so that people of all genders can feel comfortable. At our parties, there is an awareness person whenever possible, whom you can approach if you need help or feel uncomfortable.

Please be mindful of yourself and the other visitors. If you observe something or are affected yourself: speak to the team – at the entrance or at the bar. Only together can we create a place where truly everyone feels safe.

Prince is the bar in the PRT. Here you can have a drink, meet people and chat. There is wine, beer, coffee and soft drinks.
prince is open to everyone – no matter who you love or how you live. Groups and initiatives can meet here.

We currently have no vacancies.

You can do work placements and shadowing with us. Every year, people complete a Voluntary Social Year (FSJ) and a Federal Voluntary Service with us. They help out in the theatre and gain a lot of experience in the process. If you are interested, get in touch at info@prt-bochum.de.
